SIU Admission Pathway

Step 1

Register for SIU Entrance Tests

Admissions are based on university-level tests specific to your stream (UG or PG).

What you need to do:

Register for SNAP (MBA), SET (UG General), or SLAT (Law).
Apply via official exam portals (snaptest.org / set-test.org).
Pay the entrance test fee (approx. INR 2,250 per test).
Mandatory: Register for individual institutes (INR 1,000 per prog).
Download admit card for Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Complete both test and institute registration to be eligible.

Step 2

GE-PIWAT Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates must clear the second stage conducted by specific institutes.

The Assessment Rounds:

Shortlisting based on your entrance test percentile.
Group Exercise (GE): Evaluates teamwork and communication.
Personal Interaction (PI): Tests academic fit and business acumen.
WAT: Written Ability Test for spontaneous analytical thinking.
Upload mandatory academic documents on the portal.

Final merit often gives 50% weight to entrance scores and 50% to PI rounds.

Step 3

Final Admission & Fee Payment

Secure your seat after being selected in the final category-wise merit list.

Final Milestones:

Check result on the institute’s dashboard via login ID.
Download official Provisional Admission Offer Letter.
Pay the first installment of fees online to confirm your seat.
Complete physical document verification post-admission.
Attend the campus orientation and induction program.

Which entrance exams does SIU conduct for 2026? +

SIU conducts three major entrance tests: SNAP for MBA programs, SET for undergraduate general programs (BBA, BCA, etc.), SLAT for Law, and SITEEE for Engineering (B.Tech).

How many attempts can I take for SNAP or SET? +

Candidates are allowed up to three attempts for the SNAP (Postgraduate) exam and two attempts for the SET/SLAT/SITEEE (Undergraduate) exams. Your best score among the attempts will be considered for shortlisting.

Is it mandatory to register for each institute separately? +

Yes. Apart from the entrance test registration, candidates must pay a separate program registration fee (approx. INR 1,000) for each specific institute (e.g., SIBM Pune, SCMHRD) they wish to apply to.

What is the GE-PIWAT selection process? +

GE-PIWAT stands for Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Ability Test. Shortlisted candidates based on entrance scores are invited to this second stage, which typically carries 50% weightage in the final merit list.

Can I apply to multiple campuses through one test? +

Yes, one entrance test score (like SNAP or SET) is valid for all campuses offering those programs. However, you must ensure you have selected and paid for each specific institute during your registration.

Are there any age limits for SIU admissions? +

There is no upper age limit for the SNAP or SET entrance exams. For undergraduate programs, candidates must typically be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission.

What documents are needed for the PI round? +

Mandatory documents include your entrance exam score card, admit card, Class 10 & 12 mark sheets, Graduation degree (for PG), and category certificates (if applicable) for online/offline verification.

When will the 2026 results be declared? +

For the undergraduate SET/SLAT/SITEEE exams, results are typically announced in the third week of May. For the SNAP exam, results are usually declared in the first week of January.
